Hello! I'm Jennifer and my introduction to photography began as a child, when I received my first camera as a birthday gift. It was a pink Le Clic camera that used disc film. I can remember the excitement of clicking that little purple button to create a snapshot of the world around me and then waiting impatiently for the prints to be developed at the local Wal-Mart. Through my teen years and into adulthood, I continued my exploration of photography and discovered that it was more than a hobby for me. Photography is the thing that makes me excited to get out of bed in the morning to begin my next creative adventure. I love capturing the moments that bring out the true spirit of people and places.
The mission of JL Farmer Photography is to provide premium quality portraits of teens, high school seniors and college seniors that express the inner essence of the subject. JL Farmer Photography creates a fun environment for the subject during the shoot and then uses a mix of classic and candid photographic styles to create modern fine art portraits. The stuffy traditional portraits of past decades are not what you’ll find at JL Farmer Photography. I look forward to working with you to create memories and images that will last a lifetime.
JL Farmer Photography is based in Bonaire, GA and available for travel assignments. Travel within Macon, Warner Robins, Perry, Fitzgerald, Cordele and many more cities in middle Georgia are included in the session price. Please inquiry about travel costs within the United States and abroad.

SESSION consultation
I like to meet all of my models in person for a pre-shoot planning consultation. This meeting allows us to get to know each other and design the perfect session to showcase your personality. I will ask you to bring your wardrobe choices to the meeting so we can review them together. I can help you narrow down your choices to those that will photograph the best and highlight your unique personality. Once we have agreed on the wardrobe choices, I will select locations for the portrait shoot that will best complement your personal style.
the day of YOUR SESSION
You will start your session off with the star treatment with my professional hair and makeup artist. During this time, we will rock out to your favorite music and discuss any final details for your shoot. Then we will head to the first location to begin our evening of fun! During the shoot, we will work through a mix of posed and candid shots, working in props available on location or personal items you have brought along. I suggest that you bring a few items that are meaningful to you that we can incorporate into the portraits to make them extra special.
The rest of the shoot will be paparazzi style. I want you to forget that you're being photographed and just enjoy the beautiful locations. I find that these candid moments let your best self shine in the images. Many people find that the experience of the photo shoot is cherished almost as much as the images produced.
gallery reveal & ORDER SESSION
Sneak peeks following your shoot will be shared on social media as I complete the digital perfecting of your images. Your complete gallery of images from your session will be presented to you in a cinematic presentation in my home studio. You will be able to see in-person samples of the variety of archival quality photo art that is available for purchase.
Together we will select your favorite images and choose the products that will best fit your needs.

Yes, I own a Kate Spade purse [just one]. Yes, I love me a great pair of heels.
